BJP Human Right Cell celebrated International Yoga Day in close collaboration with 76 and 160 battalion of CRPF, at Green Park, Channi Himmat. Jawans, officers of the battalion, people from all walks of life, party workers all participated with great anthusiasm and vigorous, inspite of heavy rains. The programme started with the Bouquets welcome of dignatories, DIG Rakesh Sethi, Virender Singh, Vice-Chairman, Prof. P.K. Kaul, State Convenor Human Right Cell and other invited guests.
Rakesh Sethi emphasized upon the importance of Yoga Dao and said that Yoga is a way of life which works at root level of mind. It brings changes in moral character and positive transformations in personality. He further added that Yoga gives freedom from stress, anger and fear. He emphasized upon various beneficial effects of Yoga and said it can prevent may disease and especially helps in weight loss.
Prof. P.K. Kaul emphasized upon the importance and benefits of Yoga and said that Yoga Day is being observed on this day with great enthusiasm all acrossthe globe in almost 176 nations and further added that goal of the yoga day is the wider dissemination of information about the benefits of practicing yoga for the health of the world population. It is Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who proposed for the adoption of Yoga Day in the UN General Assembly in his speech on Sept. 27, 2014 and the resolution for yoga day was ably supported by 175 nations and got yoga day its due status, said Prof. Kaul.
Yoga is a holistic approach why of life that stresses harmony between man and the nature and brings the entire community together and people of any faith can practice yoga for a healthy and happy living, said Prof. Kaul. Yoga is now getting popularity among men, women, youth, children and security forces as well. It can generate greater energy and fitness amongst the jawan to fight the enemies, and added that yoga is for the development of body, mind and inner spirits. Various diseases can be prevcuted and even cured through it proper practice, said Prof. Kaul. It is expected that view the adoption of yoga by all sections of people, it will lead to a better individual health, harmony, botherhood and ultimately peace on this earth, said Prof. Kaul.
Yoga expert Anil demonstrated various techniques of Yoga and breathing exercise, step by step and all the participants did it with great vigour.
The programme ended by vote of thanks by Bajrang Lal, Commandant CRPF, expressed his heateiest gratitude to all dignitaries and yoga expert and participants for their involvement even of a bad weather and applauded their participation with thanks.
