Lays foundation stone and provides RS. 5.00 lacs for the construction of communication hall at GAHI BASS.
Vibodh Gupta, MLC Rajouri attended the much awaited annual Durga Navaratri celebrations which began on a grand note few days ago, at the ancient Dongli Mata Mandir Gai Bass, situated in the remotest area of the Kalakote. People of the area along with Mandal Pardhan Rakesh Singh and his team Rajesh Singh, Raju Singh, Balkar Singh welcomed Mr Gupta and his family, in the remotest area, with hundreds of flower garlands, as no legislator ever visited the temple to offer prayers and to listen the people of the backward area. A ray of happiness and hopes was seen on the faces of the People and religious fever was on high peak.
Gupta while interacting with the public firstly extended his wishes and congratulations on Navratars, which promotes culture and nationalism in people, besides inculcating feeling of selflessness. He said that Joint Festival celebrations always develop unity among people from all the backgrounds. Gupta also congratulated public for showing great enthusiasm and participation even in the area, which lacks connectivity.
Gupta offered special prayers at the temple and said that he is blessed to get a chance to visit the ancient temple which was constructed 400 years ago and to see the religious passion, which is pious above all. Gupta also MLC said that visiting such places gives utmost satisfaction, which is the real essence of life and said that, these festivities took him back to his childhood.
Gupta while speaking on the occasion said that the temple is located in the lap of the Scenic beauty, which can be further developed as Tourist Spot to facilitate the Pilgrims and local public. Gupta said that the temple in Gahi bass is surrounded by various villages like Udhan, Narlabambal, Harichumaa, Kotecharwal, Khorbani, Mambal, Doonga, Palyar etc, which also need to be developed. He said that Coalition Govt. is doing its best to develop the state in all respects and efforts are being made to bring the same on National map.
Gupta also said that, in the coming years arrangements shall be made to ensure various facilities to the public. For conduct of Special pujas and religious/ Social programmes, a Community Hall is urgently required. On the demand of Public, Gupta released Rs. 5.00 Lacs, on spot for the construction of Community Hall near the Temple and also laid the foundation stone in symbolic manner. Gupta also assured for his continuous support in future as well.
Gupta further reiterated that Water Supply Scheme under LIC, stands sanctioned for kalakote Town and shall put his efforts to get sanctioned special Water Supply Scheme for Gahi Bass. He also assured the public, for better road Connectivity and completion of road from Ghai Bass to Kotecharwal which is being constructed at an estimated Cost of 439.00 lacs., sanctioned under NABARD.
Gupta also informed the public that around under Road and Bridges 20-25 roads are being constructed under District Plan /NABARD costing Rs. 60 crores, which shall be completed in time bound manner. Under Health sector PHC is being construed in kotecharwal at an estimated Cost of 121.00 lacs, which shall enhance the Health related facilities in the area.
Gupta also said that road from Mithayani to Ghai bass shall be taken up in the next plan to provide connectivity to the area. Gupta also listened various grievances regarding non-existence of the Power sector in the area. He said that he along with DDC, shall hold a Public Darbar, in which all officers of different departments shall be involved to ensure drinking water facilities, sanitation, Power connections/transformers installations besides redressal of grievances.
