At a well attended impressive function held at Eden Garden where a galaxy of eminent and prominent public figures including Ms. Aditi Sharma, a young pilot granddaughter of Late Sham Sharma, Vibagh Sangchalak, Prof. Gauri, Department of Chemistry, JU, Ch. Mohd. Sadiq Nag, KP Singh, Retd. Dy.SP, Ashok Sharma Retd. CEO, Arun K Verma, CA, Adv. Asgar Hussain Shah, Ch. Bashir Ahmed, Raj Kumar Verma, Tariq Hussain Keen, Dr. B.K. Raina, Retd. BMO, Smt. While welcoming the new faces in the BJP Jugal Kishore Sharma said that onset of Modi era in the country and State BJP’s Mission 44+ have enthused entire populace of the state and all right thinking social activists and intellectuals are jostling to lend their mite in this lofty endeavour. The BJP is fully conscious of the pulse of the public who have got fed up with the nepotistic, corrupt, scams laced governance of Congress, NC, PDP since 1947 in the state. The people are yearning for change for betterment and desire to see that elementary necessity of life, like electricity, water, healthcare, communication, education, employment opportunities etc. are available to all of all the regions of the state. He added that he has full faith in the motivation of the new entrants for making a positive contribution for the progress of the state and the country and hopes that they will also work for the successful achievement of the mission 44+.
Ashok Khajuria, on the occasion dwelt on the significance of the forthcoming assembly elections and said that they are going to change the political discourse of the state for integration and strengthening of the national bonds. He further said that time has come to defeat the forces of division and communalism who justify politics of autonomy, self-rule etc. on this communal plank. The people of the state are ready to defeat these elements and BJP has to be able to encash this opportunity.
Bali Bhagat advised the new faces in the BJP that they should throw themselves in the great task of BJP of achieving Mission 44+ in the forthcoming elections. Elaborating the concept of sangathan, he said that all have to work wholeheartedly, in coordination with others, complimenting and supplementing each other efforts without consideration of personal interests and advancement.
