Ambedkar was architect of Modern India: Dushyant

BJP Anusuchit Jaati Morha National President Dushyant Kumar Gautam, alongwith Morcha National Vice-President Mohan Lal Dayma and SC Morcha State President & MLA Davinder Manyal, chaired a meeting of State Office Bearers and Advisory Committee Members at Jammu. The meeting was convened to discuss the present situation in the country as well as review the working of SC Morcha in the state.

Dushyant Kumar Gautam, while addressing the meeting, said that Narendra Modi government has recognized the contribution of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who remained ignored during last more than 60 years under the Congress rule. It is most unfortunate that the Congress highlighted Nehru as architect of Modern India but in fact it was Ambedkar, who deserved the said honour. The concept of Reserve Bank of India, Election Commission, Planning Commission and other important establishments were the brain work of this great intellectual and law luminary. Today even after 70 years of Independence, the plight of SCs has not improved, which speaks how much serious the Congress governments had been concerned for the SCs. Modi government has launched a number of welfare schemes exclusively for the benefit of the SCs and downtrodden which reflects the concern of BJP government  towards these sections of the society. He exhorted the morcha leaders to devote more time in reaching the members of the community and make them aware about the sincere initiatives of the present government at the Centre towards social and economic upliftment of the dalits.

Davinder Manyal, on this occasion, briefed about the activities being undertaken by the SC Morcha in the state and also the feedback from the public about programmes and policies of Narendra Modi led government at the Centre which has been launched for the benefit of the poor and weaker sections.

MLA Chhamb Krishan Lal Bhagat, in his address, stressed on the principle of “Be Right, Do Right and Fight for the Right” to be successful. He said that the members of SC community are worst affected by social evils and the need of the time is to get together to educate the younger generations of the community and help them in becoming respectable citizens.

Morcha Seh-Prabhari ND Rajwal introduced the leaders in the meeting to the National President and other dignitaries and said that 9-10 lakh population of SCs in the state play a decisive role in the government formations but the previous ruling elite used them as mere vote bank.

Morcha State General Secretary Dr. Manohar Lal Rao moved a resolution in the meeting stressing upon the State Government to devote any rotary or road in the name of this leader, which was adopted unanimously.
