To have direct interaction with the Vice Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes Development Corporation, Vice Chairperson, the Office Bearers of Anantnag District BJP Minority Morcha called on Balbir Ram Rattan at Jammu and discussed various schemes of the Corporation meant for the welfare of Minorities in the state. They also discussed the modalities to be completed for obtaining financial assistance in the form of loan for the unemployed people of their community.
Sh. Balbir Ram Rattan, while sharing schemes of the Corporation with them, told that Jammu and Kashmir SCs, STs & BCs Development Corporation caters to Minorities notified at the National Level- the Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, Buddhists,Parsis, as well as members of other reserved categories. All these categories are allotted funds from the Apex Corporations under union government with a share from the state government.
“Any unemployed State Subject, who has attained 18 years of age, belonging to Minority Category or any other, is eligible for availing loan from the Corporation provided he or she fulfils the prescribed requirements”, Balbir told them adding that the applicant has not to travel to capital cities of Srinagar or Jammu as the Corporation runs it office in every district of the state for the convenience of the weaker sections. He also told them that the meritorious students from weaker sections can also avail Education Loan for studying within the country or abroad.
Balbir also stressed upon them to motivate the unemployed members of their community to not sit idle at home and wait for government jobs but take a decision of standing on their own by availing loan and setting up of livelihood earning units.
Those who met the VC were Anantnag BJP Minority Morcha District President Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat, District General Secretary Afroze Ahmed Bhat and Anantnag Constituency Incharge Mohammed Tahir Dar.
