Attack on Yatris unfortunate, Act of frustration: Yudhvir Sethi

Members of civil society representing different sections today converged at Diwan Mandir alongwith BJP Vice President Yudhvir Sethi and expressed their grave concern and anguish over attack on pilgrims returning from cave shrine of Shri Amarnath Ji in which seven people were killed and several others injured.

BJP Senior Vice President Yudhvir Sethi and other members prayed for peace to the depated souls by praying and lighting candles and said that this is nothing but an act of frustration by militants who have lost ground in Kashmir. This is a cowardice act which no one will ever approve and must be condemned in strongest of words. They said that the perpetrators of this act will soon meet their fate and fall to bullets of security agencies.

The BJP Vice President said that militants have lost ground in Kashmir and its just out of frustration that they are resorting to last minute acts which are going to cost them a lot. People are not with them, security agencies are after them, local support is negligible and above all people crave for peace which is why they attacked hapless pilgrims. India, he added will not get cowed down by such incidents and Yatra will continue by all means.

Expressing his sympathies with families of deceased and injured, Yudhvir Sethi added that every possible help would be extended by the government to them and those behind this attack will be brought to books by security agencies. He also urged people to maintain calm and trust state as well as central government which is ceised of the situation and is dealing with it accordingly.
