A large number of deputations of residents from Gangyal, Satwari, Preet Nagar, Nanak Nagar and Bablian met Baldev Singh Billawaria district president Bharatiya Janata Party this morning and expressed their resentment over non-availability of food grains for month’s altogether. The residents alleged that whenever they approach Ration dealers for supplies they are bluntly told that the stocks of food grains and sugar has not reached at ration shops and that is why they have not been able to issue ration to the people. Billawaria patiently heard the deputations and took up the matter with Director Food and Supplies who assured for early supply of Ration to the people though in small quantities. Baldev Singh Billawaria also paid visit to some ration depots of these areas and took stock of problems arising out of non supply of Food grains to the people. Billawaria assured all the deputationists that all their genuine problems are well in the knowledge of BJP leadership and every effort would be made to redress them in an appropriate way.
