Better Road Connectivity a Gateway to Development : Vibodh

Inaugurates a Culvert at Bathuni in Rajouri

A special culvert at Bathuni, Rajouri built with a estimated cost of Rs. 14.30 lakh was inaugurated today by BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta. The funds for the construction of this culvert were provided by MLC Vibodh through his CDF. Latter addressing a impressive function at the site MLC Vibodh described the better roads as a key gateway to development. He said that this is the main reason that present Government in the state as well as in the centre is according top priority to good quality linear infrastructure specially the roads. He appreciated the efforts of Minister for Rural development Abdul Haq Khan and said that as a result of his serious efforts the conditions of many roads in the Pir Panjal region has improved a lot. Moreover, many news road projects have also been taken in hand. While referring the works being undertaken under MANREGA, Vibodh said that present Government has given a proper direction to these works and now the impact of this is also visible on the ground. He said that the culvert constructed at Bathuni will benefit a large population of the area and many more such works will be undertaken in near future. He further added that present Government is committed for the welfare and development of people of all the regions of the state. The aim of the Government is to add quality to the lives of the common masses and this is the main reason that special focus is being given to the roads and bridges in various far off places of the state.

While refering to the forthcoming Panchyat elections, Vibodh said that these elections will provide a great opportunity to the people to select their local representatives who can plan and execute various developmental activities a village level. He called upon the party workers to be ready for these elections as good Panchyat leaders will match the pace of development initiated by the present state and central Governments. This he said will give further boost to village level developmental activities which is vital to make India a strong nation. Prominent among others who were present on the occasion included senior officials of Rural Development Department, Sarpanch and members of the local Panchyat, Dinesh Tara, Kewal Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Amrik Singh, Jaswant Singh, Mohd. Hussan and Mohd Yaqoob.
