Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha organized a Self Help Group Nari Sammelan at Gandhi Bhawan. The motive of this function was to discuss about the working system and benefits of Self Help Group (SHG). The occasion was graced by the attendance of BJP State President & MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma, BJP State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul, National Vice President BJP Mahila Morcha Rashim Sood, BJP Chief Whip & MLA Rajesh Gupta, BJP Mahila Morcha State Prabhari Suresh Jamwal, Vice-Chairman JAKFED Munish Sharma alongwith BJP Mahila Morcha State President Purnima Sharma.
While addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma congratulated Mahila Morcha team for taking this step. He talked in detail about internal structure, viability and utility of the SHG. He said that present Centre Government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking many steps for improving the status of the women in every sphere and this fact can be judged by having a look on the vital schemes for women like “Ujjawala Yojana”, “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”, “Maternity Benefits”. ” We must supplement the efforts of our worthy PM”, he added.
Rashim Sood, while showering praises on the Morcha team, told the practical importance of these type of groups particularly more so for the women. She guided the participants about the working strategy in these groups and plans so as to make it more beneficial.
Ashok Koul while focusing on the organizational points said that for the success of an endeavor, we need to be focused on our aim.
Purnima Sharma while thanking all the dignitaries and participants talked about how Mahila Morcha has played an integral role in improving and promoting the SHG in all the rural and far flung areas. She exclaimed that the members of the Mahila Morcha have played a vital role in the planning and execution of various tasks so as to extend the reach of SHG to the women of marginalized and weakest strata. She also discussed the ways to improvise the functioning of SHG in a better way so as to benefit the larger scale of people.
Rajesh Gupta also talked about the importance of SHG and hailed Mahila Morcha for taking this venture and stated that this will prove to be a boon for the women of this State.
Suresh Jamwal while expressing her joy shared her experiences to work in the field.
Munish Sharma congratulated entire Mahila Morcha team and said that these ventures enable the activists to pave inroads in the field.
Entire State Mahila Morcha team and other activists of the Morcha along with members of SHG and prominent women from the society were present in the programme.
