BJP celebrates 37th ‘Rising Day’

‘Turns world’s largest party with 12 crore cadre; 11 lakh trained cadre’
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated its 37th ‘Rising Day’- to celebrate the 37th anniversary of the party, on Thursday.
BJP State Secretary General Organization (Org), Ashok Kaul said that people have made the BJP as the country’s largest political party in terms of representation in the national parliament and state assemblies.
“BJP is the world’s largest party in terms of primary membership of more than 12 crore cadre with 11 lakh trained party cadre,” Kaul told the workers in a function at Dy CM’s official residence.
He also said the party has more than 3.5 lakh members in Kashmir, adding, it was party’s pro- public and good governance agenda which has attracted the masses.
He also said: “BJP is committed to India’s unity and integrity, its intrinsic identity and the social strength.” The party believes in the principle of “justice for all and appeasement of none”, that was why it attracted large masses into its fold.
While unfurling the party flag, Kaul further said that BJP was one of the few parties in India to have a popular-based governing structure, where workers and leaders at the local level have a great say in much of the decision-making.
“BJP leadership has taken care of the aspirations of country’s citizens their empowerment, faster connectivity, more jobs, better education and improved quality of life,” he said, the Good Governance model of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, encompasses these broad themes into simple takeaways which have the potential of transforming India in the near future.
Kaul also felicitated Er. Aijaz Hussian for being appointed as national Vice- President BJYM and In Charge BJYM union territory Chandigarh.
In Kashmir, the main functions were also held at Anantnag, Pulwama, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Budgam, Baramulla, Kupwara, Kulgam and Shopian, where hundreds of party workers and leaders participated.
While elaborating the party’s present strength, BJP MLA and former PHE Minister, Chowdary Sukhnandan said that in 1980’s BJP has only two MP’s which now has crossed over 286 MP and BJP is presently ruling over 60 percent of country’s population.
The function was organized by District President Srinagar, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat.
Present on the occasion were recently appointed Vice- Chairmen Khalid Jahangir and Dr Ali Mohammad Mir.
