J&K State BJP led by its State President & MLA Sat Sharma along with State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State Vice-Presidents Parmod Kapahi, Karan Singh, Bharat Bhushan Bodi, State General Secretary Harinder Gupta, other senior leaders and party activists celebrated Lohri with full religious fervour and enthusiasm while the traditional fire was lit and various nuts and sweets were offered. The enthusiastic workers danced spontaneously into Bhangra on the tunes of drum beats and congratulated each other on the occasion at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that festivals are harbinger of peace and prosperity and people should celebrate with mutual amity and togetherness. He also acquainted the activists on the importance and history of the day and its special significance in the Northern India while speaking that all the festivals in our Nation are linked with the common issues, harvest season, change of seasons and other joyful occasions bringing all the persons in a region together thus cementing the bond of brotherhood for the greater good of society. He also wished all the residents of Nation the best of health and joyful time ahead.
Ashok Kaul while wishing all the activists on the joyous occasion, called for promoting peace and mutual brotherhood between various communities for ensuring development of the common masses and said that humanity is above all the things in this material world.
