Bharatiya Janata Party has complimented all the successful candidates of J&K Combined Competitive Examination, 2014, the result of which has been declared recently by J&K Public Service Commission (JKPSC). It is a matter of great pride and satisfaction that 36 out of 51 candidates called for Medical Examination belong to Jammu region, stated the press release issued by the Party. Brig Anil Gupta, State Spokesperson said that it was heartening to note that candidates from all parts of the state including far-flung and backward areas have figured in the final list. A special mention needs to be made of Anjum Bashir Khan Khattak s/o Mohammad Bashir Khan of Surankote who has come out with flying colours by topping the prestigious list read the statement. The list has proved that talent and merit know no regional, communal or political boundaries.
The fact that list contains majority candidates from Jammu region has proved that the youth of Jammu region is no less meritorious as compared to their counterparts in the other region if provided a level playing field, just and fair chance, said Brig Gupta. Referring to the earlier selection lists issued by the JKPSC, wherein hardly any candidates from Jammu region found place, Brig Gupta said that it to some extent justifies the earlier allegation of discrimination against aspirants from this region. The faith lost in JKPSC because of earlier lists has yet to be restored among the youth of this region and hopefully this selection list will herald the much needed change in trend.
Brig Gupta hoped that this new trend will to some extent kindle the hope of the youth from this region and motivate them to excel in their chosen fields. JKPSC needs to be not only just and fair but also transparent so that the youth of this state can feel safe in its hands as well as remain confident of their future and rely on their hard work and merit without bothering for extraneous considerations, stated Brig Gupta. The empowerment of the youth is a focal area of Bharatiya Janata Party and the Party remains committed to the youth of the state and wants to assure the youth that it shall always remain in the forefront to ensure equitable availability of opportunities to them reiterated the statement.
