The State unit of Jammu & Kashmir BJP has condoled the sad demise of Rekha Gupta, wife of Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, former Union MoS & Party senior leader. The party has termed the demise as a loss not only to the family but also to the party which had witnessed support from her to his husband for decades together.
BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma, while expressing party’s condolences to the bereaved family, said that although only Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta had been active in politics and served the BJP for more than fifty long years, his wife Rekha Gupta too deserve the appreciation as she not only took care of the family but was always seen as extending support to her husband in party activities. It was due to her active support to the husband that he got the encouragement and strength to work more vigorously for the party and achieved the distinction of being one of the tallest leader in the state.
Sat Sharma said that the irreparable loss cannot be fulfilled and the party stands with the family in this hour of grief and sorrow.
Meanwhile, BJP National Vice-President & J&K Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna, National Secretary Farooq Khan, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, BJP Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs also condoled the sad demise of Rekha Gupta.
