To review the media management of the party and discuss the current issues related to State Politics, in particular, the BJP convened meeting of its State Spokespersons at Trikuta Nagar office. It was chaired by BJP State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul and attended by State Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi, State Spokespersons Prof. Virender Gupta, Balbir Ram Rattan, Brig. Anil Gupta, Arun Gupta and SS. Bijral.
In the meeting, issues discussed included the present political scenario in the state, turmoil in valley and the role of BJP. It was pointed out that BJP is extending full cooperation to the state government is restoring peace and normalcy. The need on part of the Spokespersons to speak forcefully and without any dithering against misinformation campaign launched by some political parties for their partisan purposes was also stressed. It was felt that this approach was needed to prevent such political parties who instead of contributing towards the early restoration of peace and the process of development in the state are maligning the image of the party and the coalition govenrment.
While speaking in the meeting, Ashok Koul stressed on proper monitoring of the day to day developments and asked the spokespersons to make it sure that the view point of the party on vital issues is putforth in right perspective so that the people are properly informed about the functioning of BJP in the government and are not thus misled by the parties which had been in power for decades and now being out of chair are making baseless, false and fabricated allegations and statements against the party.
