To take stock of different programmes being undertaken at different levels in the state; discuss Good Governance programmes; seek progress report from different departments in nominating party activists at District levels and distribution of voter lists at booth level, the state BJP organized a meeting of State Office Bearers and District Presidents at party office on Monday.
This meeting was chaired by State President & MLA Sat Sharma (C.A), alongwith State General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Kaul, State General Secretaries Dr. Narinder Singh, Pawan Khajuria and Harinder Gupta.
Heads of different Departments presented details related to their individual works and the public feedback on good governance at the Centre and in the state.
The IT & Social Media Department of the BJP also displayed a video CD containing Good Governance details and the comparison drawn between the achievements of BJP governments and those run by opposition parties in different states of the country.
Sat Sharma, while speaking in the meeting, said that Narendra Modi government at the Centre has completed two and half years and this period can be termed as golden period in the history of India after independence as a wave of development and welfare has been witnessed across the country. He said that it becomes the duty of every activist of the party to highlight the achievements of the Union government under PM Narendra Modi and devote time to fail the false and misleading propaganda of the opposition parties, who have been turned issueless and irrelevant in the state.
Ashok Kaul, while addressing the meeting, asked the district presidents to make necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of different programmes to be organized in connection with “Good Governance Day/Sushasan Divas” while celebrating the Birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. He also stressed upon the District Prabharis to ensure that the booth level voter lists are made available at every booth so that these are minutely checked for additions and alterations, if needed. He also asked the Prabharis to educate the people on the importance of demonetization.
