Fulfilling Ambedkar’s Dreams Will Be a Real Tribute to Him : Vibodh
In order to pay tributes to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his birthday a special function was organised at Thakar Duwara in Nowshera. The programme was organised by B R Ambedkar Movement and a large number of people driven from different walks of life participated in the programme. On this occasion BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta was Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering Vibodh said that the year long celebrations which started last year by the BJP Government on the occasion of 125th birth aniversary of Babasaheb have culminated. This he said is historic as the earlier congress Government never paid any attention towards the contributions made by B R Ambedkar. While throwing light on the life of Ambedkar Vibodh said that B R Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Constitution of India, was born to a Mahar caste family on 14 April 1891 in Mhow (now known as Dr Ambedkar Nagar, Madhya Pradesh). His father worked in the army of British East India Company. As a child, Mr Ambedkar was not allowed to sit inside class because of his caste. Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar fought against ‘untouchability’ throughout his life. He played a major role in Mahatma Gandhi-led Harijan movement, protesting against social injustices faced by people from backward castes. He further added that Dr. Ambedkar , one of the architects of modern India was a great visionary and his futuristic thoughts are still very relevant to take India forward. Whenever the issue of equal rights to women came up, Babasaheb was clear that if women don’t get equal rights then our society can not progress he added.
In his address Vibodh also informed people about the launch of BHIM-Aadhar pay app by Hon’ble Pime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that this is also a great tribute to B R Ambedkar as this will allow people to make payments without using a smartphone. Instead, the app will enable payments through the fingerprint scanner, by authenticating the biometric details of a user with Aadhaar database. The app, which will be available for download to merchants across the country, will link your Aadhaar number and biometric fingerprint to complete a transaction. This will not only make cashless payment more prevalent but also possibly more easy and hassle-free. To enable the transactions through BHIM-Aadhar, merchants will have to purchase fingerprint scanners. On this occasion Chairman B R Ambedkar Movement Mr. Sanam B Raina also addressed the gathering. In his address he described Babasaheb as the voice of the poor and marginalised. He further added that B R Ambedkar always wanted people to be educated and he gave inner power to people by compelling people to be knowledgeable. SDM and SDPO Nowshera also present on the occasion.
