BJP holds public Darbar at Ganderbal Minister reminds officials they are public servants

The PHE Minister Shyam Lal Chowdhary, BJP Spokesperson, Khaild Jehangir and other party leaders addressed the first public Darbar at Ganderbal on Wednesday. The BJP minister and other leaders met the hundreds of people and listened to their grievances. BJP leaders assured the people that all their grievances would be addressed and administration would be put on toes to ensure that public works are done at war footing basis. “The coalition government is committed to mitigate the sufferings of people and provide need and clean administration to people,” the Minister said. The Minister asked PDD to restore power supply at Qamria Chowk and make the streetlights in the town functional. “Administration needs to be responsive and quick. Officials should bear in mind that they are public servants and are sitting on their chairs to serve the people,” he added. The BJP spokesman Khalid Jehangir informed the minister that successive regimes have ignored Ganderbal. “Despite former Chief Minister being the local MLA of the area Ganderbal didn’t witness any development from 2009 to 2014. Our government has to extend the helping hand to the people so that they get the benefits of the centrally sponsored schemes,” Jehangir said. The BJP leaders and the ministers also held an interactive session with the administration and asked the officials to become the face of the government in the area.
