JK BJP led by its State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul along with State General Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh held a review meeting regarding the issues pertaining to Displaced persons from Pakistan occupied Jammu-Kashmir (PoJK) and Kashmir.
Minister Sham Choudhary, Minister Ajay Nanda, MLCs Ramesh Arora, Surinder Ambardar, Girdhari Lal Raina, Rufugee Cell State Convenor Pt. Ashok Khajuria, Displaced Kashmir Migrants’ District President Chandji Bhat and other senior leaders participated in the meeting held at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.
While addressing the meeting, Ashok Kaul said that the prime aim of BJP is to address every single issue of the common masses promptly, so that no group or community feels deprived of its due rights. He said that the core of the BJP lies in its organizational principles of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas” and “Antodaya (ensuring the reach of every benefit to the last person in the most deprived section of society)” which has been taken on the war foot by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Centre Government. He said that BJP has always been on the front foot to raise the issues of Displaced persons whether form PoJK or Kashmir and is committed to end the woes of concerned communities. He called upon the BJP leaders to seek every minute details of the compensations and other issues of the affected families.
Dr. Narinder Singh who also heads the BJP’s committee for Kashmir Displaced Persons said that all the details concerning issues pertaining to the community have been enlisted and have been time and again brought in to the notice of concerned authorities. He also provided with the details of the concentrated efforts done by the party in the matter while expressing hope that soon their issues will be taken care of. He also discussed various points under strategy to preservation of the rich culture and traditions of the community after their displacement from the valley.
Pt. Ashok Khajuria, informed that out of 36, 384 registered cases for Displaced persons from PoJK, 12844 cases are already cleared and sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), out of which 6601 cases have been settled so far on the ground by clearing their payments through DBT by MHA and termed this as a big achievement for the community. He also said that about 2800 cases will be cleared in the coming 10 days and all the pending cases will be followed by the BJP’s Refugee Cell for their clearance very soon. He also informed that the Cell will hold a programme for the beneficiaries in the month of April.
Chandji Bhat also deliberated on the progress over issues of the members from the Kashmir Displaced community that have been taken on hand by the displaced district and said that there is an urgent need to ensure the implementation of 2500 jobs as means of employment to the community members and also construction of accommodation of these employees in Kashmir Valley that has been set into motion by the Modi Government. He also discussed the PM Package of 2000 Crore rupees and said that there is a dire need to expedite the process which will ensure the land cost, construction cost and employment generation for the community youth.
