BJP Kashmir Displaced District is going to pay homage to Tika Lal Taploo and other martyrs who were brutally assassinated by terrorists in Kashmir valley since 1989 and decided to observe 13th September 2016 as Martyr’s day at large scale. For making proper arrangements Chand Bhat President BJP Kashmir Displaced District constituted an 11-member team headed by Ravinder Razdan. The other members in the team are T.N Bhat, Bharat Bushan Bhat Gosani, Prof. M.K. Raina, Raja Tikoo, Ramesh Bhat, Shuban, Chaman Lal Pandita, Shoki Lidhoo, Vijay Raina and ML Sopori.
The 13th September 1989 is the day when Kashmir was plunged in grief and darkness such as it had not experienced before in living memory. The warm, gifted, humane and selfless young Tika Lal Taploo was brutally assassinated by terrorists in broad day light outside his own house in Srinagar. Taploo was attacked many times before also, but he Islamic fundamentalism.
Knowing the fact that his life is in threat, he came out openly and challenged the militants without any fear. The Islamic fundamentalists had murdered not only Taploo but also an old faith and culture of universal brotherhood, love and tolerance which symbolized in his life.
