Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kashmir, organized one day party workers convention at party office here, on Saturday.
The convention was held to mobilize the mass support for party and preparations for upcoming elections- including Lok Sabha elections, Panchayati elections and Municipality elections.
The workers were asked to gear up for the party activities and organize door to door campaign to garner party support.
The convention was organized Altaf Thakur (State Media Secretary), Arif Raja (Protocol Incharge and District General Secretary), Asif Masoudi (District Vice- President Srinagar), Ashok Bhatt (District Vice- President Srinagar), Mohammad Anwar Khan (General Secretary Baramulla).
The convention was attended by District Presidents- Ghulam Hassan Khan (Budgam), Rafiq Wani (Anantnag), Bashir Bhat (Ganderbal), Waseem Bari (Bandipora), D K Nehru (Baramulla) and other district heads.
Speaking on the occasion, the senior workers asked the gathering to stick to the party ideology and work as per the party leadership in the Valley.
The senior workers emphasized that the party believes in “Nation first, Party second and Self last”, they said, adding, those joined the party must follow the same path with spirit.
In the day long convention, dozens of new faces also joined the party.
