As part of Independence Day fortnight celebrations, BJP State Mahila Morcha organized “Ek Sham Shaheedon Ke naam” cultural event, wherein artists performed stage show and recited patriotic songs, which invited the applaud from the audience. The motive was also to introduce the people about the freedom struggle and induce a sense of patriotism among them through variety of programmes under this event.
BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma CA, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, said that while we are entering into 70th year of Independence, it becomes our duty to go to the public and make aware about long struggle for getting freedom. The BJP has been organizing different programmes to highlight the supreme sacrifices of the Indians and the women can contribute a lot by starting from their own families and people around them to realize the significance of the Independence. He said that this colourful event has succeeded in conveying the message of standing united for the cause of the motherland.
Purnima Sharma, on this occasion, said that the women constitute about 50% population and their role has been splendid in every sphere of life and the history stands witness to the fact that during independence struggle they did not remain confine to kitchens, but contributed to the best of their capacity.
