BJP National, State leaders address Office Bearers meeting

BJP National Vice-President & J&K Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna, National General Secretary Ram Madhav, State President & MLA Sat Sharma and Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, addressed the day long meeting of State Office Bearers, Morcha Presidents and District Prabharis at Jammu on Wednesday.

The meeting discussed the present situation in the state besides taking stock of the ongoing programmes of the party at different levels as also the working of BJP coalition government in the state.

Avinash Rai Khanna, while speaking in the meeting, appreciated the efforts of BJP activist in Jammu and Kashmir for actively undertaking party programmes at different levels and serve as bridge between the party and the people. He said that social service is the best mean to get associated with the public. He said that the party activists have to devote more time in reaching the masses and educate them about the projects like Swachch Bharat Abhiyan, Beti Bacho Beti Padao, Namami Ganga and make it a public movement.

Ram Madhav, in his address, said that the coalition government in the state was formed to honour the mandate of the people despite ideological differences and it is indeed a matter of satisfaction that both the parties are working in unison to fulfil the promises made to the people. He said that it is a development-centric government and its priorities are good governance and corruption free administration. He asked the party leaders to work for strengthening the nationalist forces in the state so that the elements working against the integrity of the country are defeated.

Sat Sharma, while addressing the meeting, said that the BJP is in power in 13 states either on its own or in coalition and also at the centre with 2/3rd majority and the party has achieved these milestones due to the hard work put by its cadre. He said that for BJP its activist is its backbone and hence the real asset. He appreciated the efforts of party leaders and activist in Kashmir who have been raising the nationalism and not compromising despite threats.

State General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, briefed the meeting about the working of 19 departments and 10 projects of the party which has been constituted with the motive of involving more and more activists in different fields and also help the people to get accurate information related to various welfare schemes and projects of the governments at the centre and in the state.
