Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State President Sat Sharma on Monday afternoon organized a meeting with party’s office bearers of Srinagar District and took stock of the situation and party activities in the summer capital, Srinagar. Sat Sharma asked the party’s district body members to intensify party activities to ensure party strength here. “Our workers need to work hard on ground to ensure party strength while inviting new entrants into the party fold,” he said. BJP General Secretary (Org), Ashok Kaul also asked the workers to work hard with firm dedication for the development and strength of party in this summer capital. He asked its party men to invite more youth and women folk into the party fold. “BJP has pro-youth and pro- women policies and to attract them, party members have to invite them by working on ground,” Kaul said. Party District President Srinagar Fayaz Bhat assured the party top leaders to strengthen party cadre in the district.
Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) State President Sat Sharma condemned the two militant strikes in Srinagar in which three policemen were killed on Monday. “Militants today carried out two strikes in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, killing three policemen, including an officer, and decamping with service rifle of one of the slain cops. We condemn the attack,” Sat Sharma said. These major attacks in the city come after nearly three years. The last such attack took place on June 22, 2013 when two policemen were shot dead at Hari Singh High Street. “My condolences to the families whose beloved were killed in the attack,” Sharma said. The party leaders also observed two minutes silence for the departed souls. State vice president and incharge Srinagar Dr. Darakshan Andrabi, State Spokesperson Khalid Jehangir, District vice presidents Ashok Bhat, Hakim Masood, Prof. Posha Singh, Asif Masood, Dr. Farooq, District Gen Sec. and Protocol incharge kashmir Arif Raja, District Secretary Hilal Jan, District spokesperson Wajahat Hussain, District Media Secretary Manzoor Bhat were present in the meeting.
