Under the directions of BJYM State President Dr. Suresh Ajay Magotra, BJYM Kathua organized Kabbadi matches under Pt. “Deen Dayal Updhayay Centary Year” at Mandal Gaghwal. These sports events were part of the “Khelo Bharat” mission, MLA Hiranagar Kuldeep Raj along with BJYM State General Secretary and incharge Sports committee Vikas Choudhary was Chief Guest on the occasion. BJYM State Vice-President and Prabhari Kathua Ramneek Singh, BJYM District President Vikas Kant Gupta was also present on the occasion. These matches were organized by BJYM Gaghwal Mandal President Arpan Pangotra.
Speaking on the occasion Kuldeep Raj appreciated the initiative of BJYM to organize such sports activities, and said that more type of rural games should be organized so that the youth of the area can participate and learn the team spirit, team work, discipline, etc. He said that the Youth of the area have a lot of talent and the same can be polished by participating in such sports activities. MLA further thanked the State BJYM for organizing such events and said that, he is ready for any genuine support that will help the Youth of the area.
Vikas Choudhary said that, games are very important part of life and those who give their little time on daily basis for some physical exercise remain fit and healthy. He said that the Youth of present time is more attracted towards internet and technology based games, so parents and elders should take initiative to encourage them also for playing games like Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Wrestling etc.
