On the directions of State president Dr Suresh Ajay Magotra, State BJYM protested against VC Jammu University, RD Sharma. The protest was led by State General Secretary, BJYM Vikas Choudhary. Yesterday R D Sharma in an Press conference said that, militant Burhan Wani should not be killed and should be captured alive by security forces.
The BJYM activist led by Vikas Choudhary gathered in large numbers at Kachi Chawni and amid slogans as “INDIAN ARMY KA APMAN NAHI SAHE GA HINDUSTAN” torch effigy of RD Sharma.
Addressing the gathering Vikas Choudhary said that RD Sharma has given this statement, when there was unrest in the state and daily our Army Jawans are giving their sacrifices for the Nation. R D Sharma is not a politician , he is an academician and he should stick to his work. Choudhary further said that, being VC he has a lot of responsibility towards the students community, which he should not forget. His statement can directly affect the university students which can be a big trouble for our nation.
Choudhary further said that with immediate effect he should be sacked from the post. The statement is highly irresponsible and against the Nation. The statement has directly affected the sentiments of the peoples. He further said that VC himself should resign from the post without any delay, as his statement can take a shape of agitation from the common peoples.
Others who were present on the occasion were Ajay Vaid, Ajay Manhas, Shrey Sethi, Rahul Vaid, Raman Sharma, Er Lalit Raina, Gulshan Thakur, Ashish Sharma, Sidhant Singh and many others.
