Collaborative efforts being made for holistic development: Kavinder Gupta

Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta inaugurated the Macadamization of road undertaken by the PWD(R&B) department from Karan Bagh to Balole Nallah at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.28 crore.

Accompanied by the officers of PWD(R&B) and Rural Development Department (RDD), he visited various places and interacted with the people at Karan Bagh, Govindpura, Bhour Camp, Bhour Kothey and Chatha.

During his visit, various awareness camps were organized by the Rural Development Department (RDD) about schemes launched by the government for the welfare of the public. He enumerated several initiatives taken by the government for the development of the area.

Locals appreciated the efforts of the Speaker and expressed their gratitude for taking up this long pending demand of theirs on priority and also brought some other issues to his notice for their early disposal.

While interacting with the people, Gupta said, the realistic and progressive policy of the present dispensation would lead to desired development of the State. He said collaborative efforts have been made, especially in the rural and backward belt for improving and uplifting their social and economic status.

He assured the people that all their genuine demands will be taken up on priority and every resource is being mobilized and pooled to provide basic amenities to the public with an eye on equitable development and uniform justice for all.

He said that he is well aware of the problems of the locals and assured that no stone will be left unturned in redressing their grievances and informed that the funds have already been allocated for blacktopping of maximum road length of Gandhi Nagar.

Stating that the financial package announced by the central government for the development of the state which includes works pertaining to improvement of roads, National and State Highways, electricity, Water supply, education sector, health sector so on, shows the commitment of the BJP led central government towards development of J&K, he said.
