MLC dedicates Joggers path to Rajouri people

‘SC verdict on Art 35A be accepted to all’

 

Providing impetus to Coalition Government’s pace of development, the Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Vibodh Gupta on Saturday laid the foundation of joggers path in the heart of Rajouri city from Salani bridge to Doodha Dhari Ashram chowk.

While addressing a gathering of local people, Vibodh said that the Joggers path is much needed demand of morning walkers and general commuters who are facing many hardships in its absence and he also informed that the path will be constructed at an estimated cost of about Rs. 1.25 crore by Rural Development Department and the funds would be given from the convergence scheme of Border Road Development Project (BADP) and the rest of the amount would be provided from his constiuency development fund (CDF).

Congratulating the people of Rajouri town, MLC said that the Coalition Government is leaving no stone unturned to beautify the Rajouri city and he added that around 50 crores of development works are in active mode within the town which would be witnessed on ground in next two to three years.
He also thanked State Government for deputing an honest and dedicated Deputy Commissioner to Rajouri, who is also the son of the soil and under whose supervision the benefits are reaching at the doorsteps of common man.

While talking to media persons on sideline of the function, Vibodh said that the issue of Article 35A is prejudice and it is not good to comment over it at this stage but he said that the verdict of Supreme Court (SC) is above all and it should be followed in letter and spirit.

He also blamed the opposition parties for politicking on Art 35A to create a wedge among different religions and regions. He asked them to desist from it as both the governments in Centre and State would not pay much heed to them.

Speaking on the occasion District president Dinesh Sharma said,Such facilities are the need of the hour in view of fast mounting urbanization besides stressful lifestyle of the people. He also stated that development is the core agenda of BJP and timely whole State will witness the same when each and every work will reach the ground level which were ignored by previous Government of the State.
