Congress-NC alliance desire to create chaos, anarchy in J&K: Sh. Tarun Chugh

National General Secretary of the BJP and J&K Prabhari, Sh. Tarun Chugh urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to defeat what he described as the nefarious designs of the NC-Congress alliance. He warned that these political groups intend to push the state back into the violence and bloodshed reminiscent of the 1990s. According to Sh. Tarun Chugh, the people of Jammu and Kashmir suffered greatly during that period because of the failures and wrongs committed by politicians from these parties.

He was addressing a meeting of BJP workers at in Jammu West assembly constituency held in support of BJP candidate Sh. Arvind Gupta that saw attendance from key BJP leaders including Sh. Sat Sharma, former minister and J&K BJP chief, Sh. Rajeev Charak, the Prabhari of the constituency, and S. Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, President of the Minority Morcha. Also in attendance were Mandal Presidents Sh. Atul Bakshi and Sh Kishore Chopra. Sh. Tarun Chugh rallied party workers, emphasizing the importance of preventing the return of the era of turmoil and violence in Jammu and Kashmir.

Citing a recent statement by NC MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, Sh. Tarun Chugh expressed concern that Mehdi had implied a return to the violence and exodus of Kashmiri Pandits seen in the 1990s. Sh. Tarun Chugh warned that the alliance of Congress, NC, and PDP is driven by a desire to create chaos and anarchy in the region. He accused former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah and his NC party of pushing for the return of Article 370 and seeking dialogue with Pakistan to discuss autonomy for the state, an agenda that he claims is dangerous for the stability of J&K.

Pt. Prem Nath Dogra, a stalwart of the Praja Parishad and later BJP, had fought against such designs, said Sh. Tarun Chugh. He reminded party workers of Dogra’s opposition to Sheikh Abdullah, who, according to Chug, had conspired with then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to betray the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Sh. Tarun Chugh believes that this cycle of betrayal is now being repeated by the current NC-Congress alliance led by Omar Abdullah and Rahul Gandhi.

Sh. Tarun Chugh also criticized the manifestos of the PDP, Congress, and NC, accusing them of showing more loyalty to Pakistan than India. He raised alarm over their alleged plan to release convicted militants like Yasin Malik, who he says admitted to killing naval officers and civilians. Sh. Tarun Chugh called on the public to question these political groups for aligning with militants and pushing a divisive agenda.

He reminded the audience of incidents like the Chattisingh Pura massacre and the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, which he claims these parties stood by silently and are now promising to repeat by freeing terrorists. Sh. Tarun Chugh reiterated that this election is a crucial battle between the BJP and those he labelled as “conspirators” like Sheikh Abdullah and his successors.

“I urge you to understand the wicked design of Congress, NC and PDP who want to push J&K towards anarchy. Former chief minister Dr Farooq Abdullah and his team of NC leaders very recently in their manifesto said that Article 370 will be brought back and those behind bars will be released, he said adding that they intend to talk to Pakistan and talk about autonomy in the assembly”, he said.
Pt Prem Nath Dogra was opposed to these designs and which is why he started agitation against late chief minister Sheikh Abdullah who in connivance with first Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru hatched conspiracies against people of J&K. Today same vicious cycle is being repeated in the form of Omar Abdullah-Rahul Gandhi alliance who intend to damage J&K and push it in fire.
PDP, Congress and NC manifesto speak of their love for Pakistan and hatred for India. Sh. Tarun Chug asked party workers to ask these political outfits seeking votes in the name of this manifestos why are they standing with militants. The BJP leader said Yasin Malik had admitted to have killed naval officials and civilians. Now these Congress NC leaders together want to release such terrorists which is shocking.

He said today a third generation of BJP or Jana Sangha in J&K is working to upkeep the spirit of patriotism alive. Chug praised the resilience and patriotism of BJP and Jana Sangh workers in Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that the third generation of the party is now leading the charge to keep the spirit of patriotism alive. He credited leaders like Pt. Prem Nath Dogra for setting the narrative of nationalism in the region, a legacy that BJP workers continue to uphold today.
Finally, former J&K BJP Chief Sh. Sat Sharma expressed confidence that the BJP will achieve a significant lead in the upcoming elections, predicting that they will poll fifty-one thousand votes from the Jammu West constituency. Sharma emphasized that the BJP remains the only force capable of ensuring peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir.
