Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, Vice Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, alongwith Corporation Financial Advisor/CAO Vijay Kumar Tak, Divisional Manager Gulam Qadir Khatana and District Manager, Rajouri, Chuni Lal Verma, handed over keys of 3 vehicles to unemployed males belonging to Scheduled Tribe Community from Darhal area of Rajouri District. While Shafiq Ahmed and Saddam Hussain were loaned Tractors, Ayaz Ahmed was provided a Tata Mobile -207and all the three vehicles have been financed by the Corporation with total amount of rupees 18.5 lakhs. The Apex Corporation- National Scheduled Tribes Finance & Development Corporation, has contributed 85% of the total amount, J&K Government has its share of 10% and the beneficiaries have contributed 5% for their respective loans.
Balbir Ran Rattan, while speaking on the occasion, said that the Corporation is making all efforts to reach the maximum population in all the three regions of the State with a motive to educate the unemployed people about the schemes meant for them and convince them to set up own earning units by availing loans from the Corporation. He also appreciated the team work of the Corporation officials, who are always at the service of the loan aspirants and said that each one of them is concerned for the early processing of the loan applications so that no one is made to take rounds of the Corporation office.
Balbir further said that the Corporation is providing loans to the unemployed youth belonging to ST, SC, BC, Handicapped, Minorities and Safai Karamchari categories and appealed that instead of sitting idle, one should make up mind to start own units of earning livelihood. It also creates employment for others, he added.
