Speaker J&K Assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta, in a press statement issued here today said that working for the people of Gandhi Nagar is his first priority and he is continuously monitoring the developmental works of his constituency.
The Speaker informed that his team which includes his Special Assistant, Vinod Malhotra; Public Relation Officer, Er. Ashwani Khosla and other staff of his office are available in his GandhiNagar office and are moreover paying visits at different locations of the constituency and keeping a contact with the officers of various departments and the public.
Today on his direction, both the Spl. Assistant & his PRO visited Qasim Nagar, Rajiv Nagar, Bahu Fort and Gorkha Nagar area and interacted with the people on his direction and listened to their grievances. Field staff of PHE, PDD, JMC and PWD(R&B) was also present on the occasion.
Locals put forth few demands pertaining to De silting of Nallah at Rajiv Nagar and Qasim Nagar, requirement of new water pipes at Baazigar Basti and Kacha Talab, Bahu fort, up gradation of existing transformer and Black topping of internal roads of Qasim Nagar, Gorkha Nagar, Main Parking of Bahu Fort Temple.
All these issues were immediately taken with the Speaker by their staff and necessary directions were issued by the Speaker to the department concerned for taking up these works and completing them within best possible time.
Sharda Devi, Dalbir Singh, Vivek Patyal, Subash Kumar, Vikram Singh, Suraj Rana along with prominent citizens and social activists were also present there.
