M.L.A R.S Pura and Political Advisor to State BJP President Dr. Gagan Bhagat on Thursday kick-started black-topping work, a function was organized near Belol Bridge and after paying tributes to the Martyrs of Army, J.K.P, and Para Military forces from R.S Pura Constituency Dr. Gagan started the blacktopping from the Indiranagar near the Belol bridge, Miran Sahib till P.V.C Bana Singh Stadium R.S Pura. As it was the starting point of the R.S Pura Constituency Dr. Gagan Bhagat said that it will be beautified so that one who enters the constituency feels a difference, he laid stress on Plantation and landscaping near the entry point at Gadigarh. The Black Topping work of the said road was the longest pending demand of the local residents of the R.S Pura Sub-Division, as when the work started one veteran said that he has not seen such a thick Macadam in his life and that too at Miran Sahib, all the credit goes to the local M.L.A Dr. Gagan ,the total length of the blacktopping of road stretch is about 10 kilometers from Belol Bridge, Gadigarh to P.V.C Bana Singh Stadium at R.S Pura, an amount of Rs. 5 Crores under the Central Roads Fund (C.R.F) will be spent on it .The locals and the prominent persons thanked Dr. Gagan for his sincere efforts , as the said developmental work has been ignored for the last several years, the issue was raised by the local residents some time ago with Dr. Gagan, when he was on Election campaign, and then he assured that he will complete this road widening and Black Topping work, and now the work has been started within few months, this positive change is worth appreciating said Sardar Harjeet Singh. While addressing the gathering Dr. Gagan said that the Modi Government at the centre is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people of three regions of the State including drinking water, road connectivity, electricity, health services, drainage system and education, and the Union government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been providing liberal funding to the State for accelerating developmental and economic activities adding that state is being developed in all respects to showcase it as a major attraction for the tourists visiting the state. He apprised the people that there was no constraint of funds for completing the ongoing projects in a time bound manner. He also informed that a comprehensive plan has been formulated for up-gradation and expansion of basic facilities to provide all infrastructural facilities to the people of R.S Pura constituency. He sought cooperation of the people in implementing the development program on ground level. The people of the area apprised the Legislator about their demands and grievances and sought immediate redressal. Responding to demands and problems of the “Market Association of Miran Sahib” under the President ship of Surinder Singh, Dr. Bhagat assured them that all their issues would be addressed in a phased manner. He also assured the gathering that quality of work will not be compromised and special care will be taken in the execution of works. He added that in the pursuit of making the constituency a model, upgrading the roads shall remain his priority.
