Office bearers and Senior leaders of R.S Pura unit of Bharatiya Janta Party and R.S Pura city unit of BJP paid glowing tributes to founder of Jansangh Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his death anniversary during a programme organised at the Mandal BJP headquarters ‘here on Friday.Speaking on the occasion, BJP M.L.A from R.S Pura Dr. Gagan Bhagat highlighted the life, achievements and sacrifices of Dr. Mukherjee. He said that Dr Mukherjee was a nationalist and a great patriot who had resigned from Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s cabinet on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. Dr. Mukherjee had foiled the attempt by anti-national forces to separate Kashmir from India and had opposed the permit system for entry into Jammu and Kashmir. He maintained that the neighbouring country is making every attempt to destabilize the valley which the party will not let it happen, and our stand on Kashmir is very clear and the dispute is only on Pakistaan Occupied Kashmir which we will take back from Pakistaan, on the issue of stone palters he said that these few paid pimps of the separatists can’t do anything in Kashmir except spoil their own future, and the Union govt. is ready for talk on the issue of Kashmir only with those people who believe in the Indian Constitution. Dr. Gagan further said that Dr.Syama Prasad Mukherjee had entered Jammu and Kashmir with the slogan ‘Ek Desh Mein Do Nishan, Do Pradhan, Do Vidhan – Nahi Chalenge Nahi Chalenge, he said. He was arrested and was murdered under mysterious circumstances inside the jail. He had sacrificed his life for Jammu and Kashmir.He asked the party workers to take inspiration from the life history of Dr.Syama Prasad Mukherjee and this country belongs to those people who are nationalists and our primary aim is to make happy the person who is standing last in the line then only we can talk of “New India”. B.J.P S.C Morcha State Vice President Karan Bhagat said that Dr. Mukherjee had sacrificed his life for national unity and integrity. He will always be remembered as a sharp nationalist and patriot. He was a man of principles and a great humanist.Dr. Mukherjee maintained a reputation of a diligent and committed personality in the history of India and Indian citizens consider him as their ideal and guide.
