BJP paid floral tributes to its legendry leader Late Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his death anniversary. BJP National Vice-President Shyam Jaju accompanied by State President & MLA Sat Sharma, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta, Chief Whip Rajesh Gupta, Director of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Research Foundation Anirban Ganguly and other leaders of Party paid their tributes at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Bhawan in State Office, Trikuta Nagar.
Shyam Jaju, while paying tributes to the great ideologue of millennium, said that Dr. Mukherjee was a great academician, barrister and a social worker who dedicated his whole life for the welfare of people. He said that, Dr. Mukherjee was too concerned for J&K State and also sacrificed his life for the true unification of State with Union of India, while fighting for “Ek Vidhan, Ek Nishan, Ek Pradhan”. He also said that BJP had tread very rough paths from Bharatiya Jana Sangh to Bharatiya Janata Party, which has emerged today as the largest political party of world.
Sat Sharma, while paying his respect, said that Dr. Mukherjee was a saint of Modern World. He said that, he served as Barrister, got appointed as youngest VC of Calcutta University, participated in all the movements against the Britishers, served as Minister for Industry and Supply in Nehru’s Council, but later, quit Congress owing to its anti-people policies and laid the foundation of Nationalist Bharatiya Jana Sangh in 1951, which today has its base in every Indian State and even abroad.
Kavinder Gupta, while remembering Dr. Mukherjee, said that State of J&K can never forget the contribution of Dr. Mukherjee as he was the person who laid down his life while fighting permit system to enter into this Indian State and also recalled sacrifices of the people of Sunderbani and Hiranagar during the Praja Parishad Andolan in that time and the negative role of Pt. Nehru in politics of J&K.
Rajesh Gupta, while paying his tributes, recollected life events of Dr. Mukherjee from Calcutta to J&K and said that, he was truly a hard core worker and due to his efforts only, BJP has today blossomed to the extent, that it can ensure progress and integrity of the Nation by its pro-people and Nationalist agenda.
Anirban Ganguly, while paying his tributes, termed Dr. Mukherjee as great Statesman and social scientist. He said that, his image has been stereotyped by a few and we have to work for publicizing his versatile personality which led to phenomenon change in modern India. After Independence, while Pt. Nehru believed in “Nav-Nirman”, Dr. Mukherjee worked for “Punar-Nirman” of Nation.
