Deputation of farmers under the leadership of State President BJP Kissan Morcha, Rajinder Singh Chib met with BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma to apprise him about various grave concerns of farmers of the region at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.
While interacting with the BJP State President, deputation apprised him about various concerns of the farmers including the low rate of land compensation being paid to them by the authorities. Farmers stated that as the agricultural land is the only source of income generation for the hard working farmer community, upon acquisition of their land for the ring road, they have to create other sources of earning in order to run their families. On payment of stamp duty rate of their land, they will suffer badly and it would be difficult for them to earn their bread and butter. The farmers further stated that in order to save the poor farmers, Central Government’s Land acquisition Act 2013 should be made effective in the state. Since the Assembly session in the state is starting w.e.f. 02 January’ 2018, they appealed to the State President for the projection of the Bill regarding the issue in the assembly for clearance.
Sat Sharma heard their grievances patiently and said that BJP is a party of the common masses and with the dedicated leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it is working unceasingly for the protection of the rights of the general masses. He said that the main agenda of BJP is “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” and farmers being the backbone of the Nation, every step will be taken to address their concerns. He assured the farmers that a bill in this regard will be projected in the coming Assembly session and farmers will be paid appropriate handsome compensation for the loss of their livelihood from the land coming under the ambit of “Ring Road”.
