Farooq should elaborate resolution on K issue: Prof. Virender

BJP State Spokesperson, Prof. Virender Gupta, in a statement, asked NC President Farooq Abdullah to make clear his stand on the resolution of Kashmir issue. “What type of political solution does he want, whether the solution that he desires is within the framework of Indian Constitution, does he include the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions and other groups of the state like Kashmiri Pandits, Shia Muslims, Gujjar and Bakerwals too in his so called Kashmir political solution formula or his only concern is to hold negotiations with the separatist elements who are instrumental in staging proxy war against India”, he asked. On Farooq’s statement that tunnel, economic package and infrastructural projects cannot be alternative to dialogue or to political solution, Prof. Virender asked the former CM that by this statement does he imply that all development process should be kept on halt till political solution is found.
He added that in the present circumstances, when the terrorist activities are on their peak and the neighbouring country has established numerous training camps to train the terrorists on its soil and is infiltrating them and his own army personnel into the Indian territory to create disturbance and destruction and when its army is continuously engaged in ceasefire violations and firing heavily on the Indian side, there cannot be possibility of any type of negotiation either with the internal elements or with the neighbouring country, Pakistan. The Spokesperson said that Farooq Abdullah has good rapport with the separatists and the elements who are engaged in destructive activities, he should use his influence in restoring the normalcy in the Valley so that discussions and deliberations could be held for the betterment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He drew the attention of Farooq Abdullah on the news item that thousand crores of rupees are being provided in the ISIS budget to finance the insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir and asked for his comment on the report.
Prof. Virender expressed his disappointment that Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah have not learnt any lesson from the events of 1990 and 2010 those happened when they were on the saddle of power.
He warmed the insurgents and Pakistan to realize the potentials of India which is acknowledged as one of the big powers of the world not only militarily but in the field of economy and scientific ventures. It cannot be bowed down by any means. It would meet any challenge to its sovereignty and integrity with full determination while teaching a hard lesson to its enemies, leading to their complete extinction.
