Haryana  boys  wins  Jammu Pro Kabaddi held at R.S Pura

The atmosphere of courage and power of youths from different parts of the country was witnessed at R.S Pura, was ended here with big pump and show undet the Flood lights of the finals where Minister of State with Independent Charge of Transport, RNB, RDD, Youth affairs and Sports Sunil Sharma was the Chief guest while IGP Jammu Zone Danish Rana and President JKKA Anil Gupta were the guests of Honour. They were welcomed by the Chief Patron of the D.B.P Club Dr. Gagan Bhagat M.L.A R.S Pura. While addressing the mammoth gathering in a jam tight Kabaddi stadium at Village Kotli Shah Doula here at R.S Pura Sunil Sharma said that the youths of the area particularly from the R.S Pura Belt have tremendous talent and this should be converted into positive energy for the country and the state, he also paid tributes to the four Martyrs Devinder, Balwinder, Pritam and Janveer in whose memory the Kabaddi tournament is being organized and praised their sacrifices for the country. He also praised Dr. Gagan Bhagat for regularly organizing such sports events in the area and promotion of sports  among the youth community. Dr. Gagan Bhagat M.L.A R.S Pura who is also the Chief Patron of the Club said in his address that he is proud that he is born here at R.S Pura and being a youth himself can better understand the feelings, demands and priorities of the youth community, as the India is the most youth country in the whole world and its 65% population are youths. He also praised the members of the D.B.P club who are working for the noble cause for the last three years and he is proud that he is associated with the club since then, and now as an M.L.A its his moral duty to provide a better platform for the talented and budding sportspersons of R.S Pura, which he is doing ,and giving the example of Dangal Competion which was organized in the SKUAST Campus few days ago and that too was organized in the memory of the Uri Martyrs in which Forest, Environment and Ecology Minister Ch. Lal Singh was the chief guest. Dr. Gagan Bhagat further said that the local and traditional Indian sports such as Dangal , Kabaddi and Kho-Kho should be encouraged because in these sports one does not requires bigger infrastructure and the players need is strength, courage and power to play these games as costly equipments is not required here. He also thanked MoS Sunil Sharma for giving Rs.10 Lakhs for the R.S Pura Constituency for the promotion of these games ,and the youths of this rural and border area will be largely benefitted from this. While speaking on the occasion IGP Jammu Zone Danish Rana said that he was largely impressed with the participants and appreciated the role of club in organizing such events in a place like R.S Pura and thanked Dr. Gagan Bhagat for making him witness to such magnificent event, he also highlighted the role of the JKP in promotion of sports through Civic Action Program (C.A.P) and he offered support for the promotion of sports among rural youths. President of J&K Kabaddi Association Anil Gupta said in his address that Kabaddi has always fascinated the rural youths since years and the JKKA is doing a lot in promotion of Kabaddi in the State, he also appreciated MLA R.S Pura for his contribution for the sport and rendered his unconditional support through JKKA in the future he also announced some cash prizes for the participants. All in Total twenty teams participated in the tournament hailing from U.P,Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir, JKP,BSF and local club. Eight teams were in Senior section and twelve were in the Junior section, DBP Sports club won the Junior section beating Pathankot Kabaddi Club, while in the Senior section the Haryana boys played tremendous to overpower the Amritsar Boys. On the occasion SSP Ramesh Kotwal, SDPO Surinder Kumar, BJP Leader Karan Bhagat, Brijesh Rana, Jawahar Singh, Lucky Chabbra, and others prominent persons were present .
