BJP Youth leader Karan Singh, along with a large number of party activists and supporters, performed a hawan at Billu Mandir in Panjtirthi area of Jammu East assembly constituency and prayed for the early recovery of ailing BJP senior leader & sitting MLC Ashok Khajuria.
Karan Singh, after performing the hawan, said that Ashok Khajuria is one of the tallest leader of BJP and amongst the founding members of party. He was a prominent student leader while remaining associated with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarathi Parishad.
“Ashok Khajuria was elected to Jammu Municipality as Councillor in 1980 and thereafter he remained in active service of the people and became a mass leader with his peculiar style of working” Karan said and added that he got elected to the state assembly twice and his pain and concern for the poor, down trodden, women and youth earned him the distinction as a leader of the masses.
Karan Singh further said that Khajuria, who is presently Member of State Legislative Council (MLC), has a struggle ful life spread over decades and such a leader need no introduction as he has gained name and fame as a figure having large number of supporters, voters and admires across the state.
“The people of Jammu has seen Khajuria as a firebrand leader, who never compromised on principles and ideology of BJP and stood like a rock against the anti-Jammu and separatist elements”, said Karan further adding that the people of Jammu want Ashok Khajuria to live long. He said that since Khajuria is not well and is under treatment, we have performed hawan and prayed Almighty God to help the ailing leader recover soon so that he joins his family back and works for the people.
Pandit Ashwani Sharma ji chanted the religious vedic mantras in the hawan.
