A large number of people, including women and senior citizens, drawn from different areas of Jammu, as well as party activists, met Industries & Commerce Minister Chander Prakash Ganga at Kachi Chawni Office of BJP and apprised him of the problems being faced by them concerning various departments and particularly related to supply of ration, drinking water and electricity.
The Minister was assisted by BJP State Secretary Sanjay Baru, Grievances Cell Chairman Brig. Anil Gupta, Jammu West District President Ayodhya Gupta, Distt Vice-President Prem Gupta and Mahila Morcha State General Secretary Sangita Dogra.
Chander Prakash Ganga listened to them and in many cases, immediately rang the Deputy Commissioner and other Heads of Departments and issued on the spot instructions to do the needful so that the people are not made to suffer.
Chander Prakash Ganga, while talking to the people, told them that as for inconvenience caused to the ration card holders, it has been made clear that no consumer will have to take rounds of DC office and that CAPD Assistant Director has to deal the public and solve whatever is being brought into his notice. He said that the CAPD Department has been directed to streamline the system and no leniency will be tolerated if any consumer comes up with complaint from today onwards.
Ganga further said that the PHE and PDD are working round the clock to ensure that the people get regular supply of electricity and drinking water and the people should also make judicious use of these essential commodities. He said that the PDP-BJP government is working on various projects for the benefit of the unemployment youth and welfare of the poor and weaker sections. “During one year, our coalition has provided corruption free and people friendly government and a new era of development has started in the state”, Ganga said and added that the people should not get misled by the false and misleading propaganda of the opposition parties and their leaders as they are in deep frustration and struggling for survival.
State Secretary Sanjay Baru said that the party has directed its ministers to be in regular touch with the public and it is in this regard that every Sunday a minister will be available at Jammu and meet the people at Kachi Chawni Office to take stock of the problems and immediately take up the same with concerning departments to get them solved.
