Taking forward the agenda of development in his constituency, MLA, Kathua Rajiv Jasrotia inaugurated black topping of roads and lanes and underground drains and additional drains with the cost of Rs 30 lakh at Krishna Colony, Kathua. While undertaking tour of the area, various deputations met MLA and expressed their gratitude for fulfilling this long pending demand of their area and put forward some more demands pertaining to development. Addressing the locals, MLA said, it was his priority to fulfill the needs of the residents of Kathua Constituency and every requirement related to development was taken up on priority and the works pertaining to improvement of power and water supply, construction of lanes and drains and enhancing other civic amenities had already been taken up and would be completed in a time bound manner. The MLA said that he is well aware of the requirements of the people and has been working day and night for the welfare of the constituency. He asserted that ensuring enhanced facilities to the people in every nook and corner of the constituency with emphasis on the most neglected parts is the main mantra of his working. He instructed the officers to speed up the pace of work on all ongoing projects and complete them within shortest possible time. Stressing on the need for special attention on the infrastructural development and proper implementation of the welfare programs, he asked for greater public participation in every developmental endeavor initiated by the administration to achieve tangible results on the ground. On the occasion, MLA said that this time no compromise will be done with the quality of work and special care will be taken in its execution. He himself will supervise the work so that the quality can be maintained and people don’t have to suffer in the future. The life of the roads is also going to increase and it is not going to break down easily, he added. MLA said that he has promised to make this constituency a model one and providing good roads is the first step towards that direction. He appealed to the residents of the area that if they find anything mischievous in the execution of the work they can directly come and register complaint with him. MLA instructed the concerned department to complete the work in time and also take care that traffic doesn’t get interrupted due to this work.
