Jugal Kishore Sharma Member of Parliament BJP (Lok Sabha) Jammu and Member Parliamentary Standing Committee on Rural Development New Delhi today attended meeting of Standing Committee on Rural Development at New Delhi and raised his voice to expedite the construction and upgradation of roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna in Jammu Poonch parliamentary constituency.
Jugal Kishore Sharma Member of Parliament said that the Prime Minister of India Sh. Narendra Modi is keen interested to provide the road connectivity to the rural areas by funding centrally sponsored schemes and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna is one of the major schemes to provide rural connectivity and to develop remote areas but till some of the schemes are lying pending to get started.The completion of the roads should be done timely so that people of the area may not suffer.He added that PMGSY officials have to work hard to expedite the current works so that they may get finished in time.Member of Parliament said that the completed roads which are under maintenance period should be repaired in time otherwise necessary action should be taken against the culprit.Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the certain roads which are completed previously should be handed over to the concerned in time so that they can maintain them properly.Member of Parliament said that the monitoring of the completed and running projects should be done on higher sights so that quality work should be provided to the inhabitants of the rural areas.
Ponnusamy Venugopal Chairman Standing Committee on Rural Development and Member of Parliament Lok Sabha Thiruvallur directed the concerned officials that all the pending projects in Jammu Poonch Parliamentary Constituency should be kick started without further delay and the completed should be repaired in time.He also said that the quality work should be done and the concerned should follow the PMGSY guidelines.He assured Member of Parliament that he will provide his interest to expedite the works for the pending and running projects.
