In order to provide best possible infrastructure to the residents of Jammu West and following the directions of BJP State President and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA), State Vice President BJYM (Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha) and Incharge Jammu West Karan Sat Sharma along with officials of ERA (Economic Reconstruction Agency), local residents of the area and other senior functionaries of BJP including District President Ayodhya Gupta, State Treasurer Chander Mohan Gupta and including a large number of people kick started Black topping works at Shakti Nagar near Jagat Resorts in Ward 29 and 33 .
The works were undertaken by ERA after completion of the sewage system project in the area and a stretch of approximately 400 meters is covered under the same which starts from OM Palace, Shakti Nagar and following the same the macdamization will be laid down upto AG office, Shakti Nagar covering two wards including 29 and 33 of Jammu West Assembly segment.
Speaking on the occasion, Karan Sat Sharma expressed the gratitude of BJP President and ERA for looking into the grievances of the public seriously and solving them in no matter of time so that all sort of basic amenities to the residents of Jammu West is provided to the masses at their door steps.
He said that the condition of the road worsened after the works of sewerage system were taken up in the area and it also caused a lot of problems to local residents, shop keepers and people who passed through the area as many holes cropped up during the works, so in order to provide next level infra to the masses, the works have been started and will be completed in a couple of days so that no sort of problem is caused to the masses.
Ayodhya Gupta said that few of the areas were left where the works for laying of new sewerage system was not taken up and it will be seen that in coming days, the areas of Jammu West where these works have not been taken up are started soon.
He also stated that the areas where these works have been started usually faced problems of water coming out of drains in the rainy season and no proper channelized system was given to it which caused problems to thousands of residents living in these areas. He said after construction of the same, the water will go through a channelized system and will not enter the homes of the locals which earlier caused disruption.
