A third Maa Vankhandi Chhadi Yatra will be organized from Jammu to the historic temple of Vanhakhandi, located in Mahanpur, Basohli. Mother Vanakhandi, which is the form of Sita Mata and her only temple in India, where the statue of Lord Rama is not established with them. A meeting was held under the leadership of Maa Vankhandi Chhadi Yatra Committee President and organizer Ashwani Gupta. On this occasion, the charge of the committee was given to Govind Malvi and the Casheir to Yash Raj. In the meeting, BJP district president of Jammu district Baldev Singh Ballowria was also present. On this occasion, the arrangements for the pilgrimage were reviewed and all the members of the committee were motivated to take maximum number of this time to carry the Maa Vankhandi Chhadi Yatra. Let us keep in mind that Maa Vankhandi Temple is recognized as the place where Mother Sita was in the lap of the earth and at the intervals of every 15 to 25 years, the temple of Mother Sita Vankhandi Mata also falls into the Earth’s lap. Once again, the new temple of Mother Sita is being constructed by the management of the temple, Mahant ji. It was decided on this occasion that buses and private vehicles will be managed for devotees visiting this place and the pilgrimage will be received in Samba, Kathua and Mahanpur. This time the journey which is being held from Jammu for the third time is that the fourth Navaratri i.e. will leave from Shiva temple of Gangyal on 24th September. All the gentlemen were given their responsibilities about the yatra and they were asked to manage the yatra. There are also other members including Harbans Chaudhary, Pawan Singh, Sushil Kumar, in the meeting!
