Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kashmir Displaced District headed by senior leader T.N Bhat along with the team asked district administration Ganderbal to make sufficient arrangements for the celebration of ‘Dashhar Maha Kumb festival’.
The displaced Kashmiri Pandit unit will be celebrating the holy festival at Shadipur in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district after 75 years.
“BJP senior leader T.N Bhat along with the team met the state President of J&K BJP Shri Sat Shrma and Hon’ble Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Information Technology, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, CAPD, Tribal Affairs, Relief & Rehabilitation and L& Emp Ajay Nanda and apprised about the arrangements made for Dashhar Maha Kumb,” the unit said in a statement.
The festival is to be celebrated on 12th, 13th and 14th of June 2016. “This Mahakumb has arrived after the gap of 75 year. Previously this Kumb was celebrated in the year of 1941,” Bhat said.
Bhat appealed the State govt. to mitigate the problems during the Dashhar Mahakumb festival.
Shri Sat Sharma and Shri Ajay Nanda assured the delegation that all steps will be taken to ensure smooth conduct of festival.
“The delegation also met District Development Commissioner Ganderbal and appealed him to make sufficient arrangements for Dashhar Mahakumb festival including electricity, transport facilities, blankets and Health facilities at the venue,” Bhat added.
The concern authorities assured them to availability of hygienic stocks and other facilities at the venue. BJP District unit Ganderbal and Bandipora are also collaborating with this team.
