‘Mass Contact programme in Nagrota’
Senior BJP leader and Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture, Tourism, Department of Horticulture, Floriculture and Parks, Priya Sethi said that both state as well as central governments were committed to make Jammu and Kashmir a self reliant state for which liberal funds are being provided and all three regions are witnessing an equitable massive infrastructural development. ‘In order to give our people an honourable life the government is working without any prejudice and has done away with casteism, nepotism, favouritism and appeasement policy’, she added.
Priya Sethi was speaking to party leaders and workers of Nagrota after having launching a mass contact programme in the constituency assigned by party high command. Austerity measures adopted during past few years have not only helped governments save public money but also win over confidence of masses, she said adding that this was the reason government was able to show to the world how with minimum government maximum governance could become possible both at state as well as Central level.
Among other party workers, Distt President BJP rural Omi Khajuria, Distt.Gen. Secy Nariender Singh Jamwal, Pawan Slathia, Sr. leader BJP and state working committee member Nand Kishore, Neelkant, Satish Sharma, Sheetal and others were present
Sanctioning of AIIMS, IIT, IIM and strengthening of schools and colleges in Jammu and Kashmir are some of the key decisions that were aimed at helping students get quality education at their doorsteps, she said. Urging party workers and leaders to take programmes and policies of Narendra Modi government at the Centre to masses, the BJP leader said that projects like Soil Health Card Scheme, Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana, Integrated Ganga Conservation Mission, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Yojana, Digital India Programme, Housing for All By 2022 and Atal Pension Yojna are all helping people live an honourable life.
She said unlike past Modi government at the Centre has 65 Ministers as compared to previous government’s 80. That’s 20% less and aimed at cost savings. Dissolution of Committees and Planning Commission which were adding nothing much to the real development were again a major bold decision taken during past three years after which responsiveness of the government has increased.
‘Initiatives like “Make in India” pushed the FDI up by about 48 Per cent, ‘Setu Bharatam’ Program is going to make all national highways railway level crossing free by 2019, Rs. 19,000 crore under Pradham Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) are being spent to connect all villages with roads and country is moving towards open defecation free India by 2019’, revealed Priya Sethi while urging party workers to become more vocal and make the world hear such achievements that are going to transform India into a new era of trust and development.
Previous governments like that of Congress, she asserted had been exploiting people in the name of “Garibi Hatao” but the fact remains that even after 65 years several hundred villages in the country remained without electricity, roads, railways or potable water. That’s not going to continue now and both state as well as central government is vigorously pursuing different programmes and policies to help people get their due share of development. Now that Centre has a target of bringing electricity to 18,452 villages by May 2018 schemes like Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojana (UDAY) is in place and fetching desired results.
Priya Sethi assured that Nagrota too is on top priority of government and informed that several progressive programs for overall development of India like Krishi Sinchai Yojana, Kaushal Vikas Yojana, MUDRA Bank Yojana, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, DigiLocker Scheme, LPG Subsidy Pahal Scheme, Smart City Yojana, School Nursery Yojana and Gold Monetization Scheme have all been taken up by the people enthusiastically and asked party workers to enable people to seek benefits of these schemes in a bigger way.
By laying thrust on defence and railways, the central government has again fixed its priorities right. Both state as well as central governments are today clean and progressive and having corruption allegations on them. These are biggest achievements that need to be put in public domain only to make people differentiate between good and bad, she said adding that these government are working for the poor and downtrodden, for farmers and for the Dalits. “We are all working worked day and night to ensure that the promises made by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi are achieved”, Priya Sethi said.
