After holding series of public meetings and Darbars in his assembly constituency in past two weeks, Member Legislative Assembly, Doda Shakti Raj Parihar today called on Public Health Engineering (PHE) Minister, Sham Lal Chowdhery in Jammu where he raised drinking water problems being faced by people in his constituency.Chief Engineer- Jammu Province, Sushil Aima, Executive Engineer, Procurement Suri and Executive Engineer, Doda Davinder Singh Charak were also present during the meeting with PHE, Minister where MLA-Doda Shakti Raj Parihar explained briefly about the different issues. Shakti said, “I have raised number of issues related to shortage of potable drinking water facilities in Bhagwah, Gadhi, Polda, Balwana, Shiva, Dhada, Balwana and Pariote-Jangalwad. We have also discussed the need to start new supply schemes for the smooth availability of drinking and irrigation facilities.” “I have also highlighted shortage of pipes in the town, the prestigious Gadi-Bejari-Kanahal water supply scheme is also affecting due to same reasons, we discuss every issue briefly with minister and connected officer. The minister has also assured us every possible help for redressed of problems.” Member Legislative Assembly, Doda Shakti Raj Parihar in past two weeks have held number of public darbars in Marmat, Kulhand, Dhara, Bhagwah where issues of the people were addressed on the spot. Shakti said, “We fought the elections in state (J&K) on agenda of development, since I became MLA, I have been relentlessly working to develop this backward constituency. The previous rulers and
representatives here have made figurative speech during election times to get political mileage, but nothing has been visible on ground.”
