Pathania Chairs meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti at Majalta

In line with his commitment of providing quality healthcare facilities and periodic monitoring of health related activities and operations at Block Level, Mr Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA Ramnagar, chaired meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti here at PHC Majalta.

After taking feedback from field officers and local people, Mr. Pathania discussed in detail on the routine working of health institutes and reassured his commitment to further streamline and improve the quality healthcare facilities in the constituency. He pressed upon the need for more medicos and para-medical staff in the area so that public does not suffer for the shortage of staff at health institutes. On the urgent requirement of Digital X-Ray facility  and more Dental chairs in the area, he assured to take up this issue at higher levels so that these facilities are available at an earliest. He also called for providing halogen, LED lamps so that health institutions are properly illuminated.

On the issue of sanctioning of Sub-District Hospital for Majalta, he said that though Majalta has bloomed up into a fully-fledged Tehsil but no one has taken up the cause of sanctioning SDH at Majalta. He said that during the last session of Assembly he had raised the issue for sanctioning SDH at Majalta to provide better healthcare facilities and fulfil the aspirations of the public of the area.

On the issue of Accidental Hospital on Dhar road at Manwal, he said that though Manwal is situated in heart of Dhar-road, the area lacks accidental Care facilities from  Billawar to Udhampur. He said that during the last Assembly proceedings, he has sought commitment from the govt. to set up the Accidental Hospital at Manwal. And that once green signal is received from central govt., it will be materialized on ground.

Later Mr Pathania paid a surprise visit to the PHC Thial and  monitored physical progress of the under construction building of PHC Thial. He pin-pointed various lacunae and gave on spot directions to  the executing agency and health department to remove these and ensure that public can get better facilities and this PHC Thial blooms up as a hub of modern healthcare institute  equipped with trained Man power and state of art medical facilities.

Mr Pathania was accompanied by Dy. Chief Medical Officer Udhampur, BMO Majalta, Officers of PWD, PDD, Education, Social welfare, and local public. Prominent among those present were Bishan das, Capt.
