Perfectly in line with his promise of making public administration and grievance redressal mechanism available at the door steps of general public, MLA Ramnagar, RS Pathania, conducted a whirlwind tour of Ramnagar, Basantgarh and Dudu area and chaired the Janata darbars. The Janata darbars were held at Serail, Parla-Chakal, Basantgarh, Panchound and Ramnagar for redressal of problems being faced by the locals of the respective areas in which representatives, senior officers and District/ Block heads of Education Department, Rural Development, Power Development Department (PDD), Public Heath Engineering (PHE), PMGSY, Social Welfare, ICDS, Health and other Departments were also present. MLA Ramnagar gave patient hearing to several issues projected by the people and issued direction for on spot redressal of the problems projected by the people. He exhorted upon the officers of various departments to ensure their 24×7 availability/ground visibility for public. He further called for qualitative and time bound completion of the projects. On the occasion, the MLA informed that work on widening and macdamisation of Ramnagar-Basantgarh road is going to be taken up very shortly. He further informed that work on 3 foot-bridges at Jhanjoo, Thoud and Kokani will be taken up very shortly. He also announced the execution of work of motorable bridge on river Ujh to provide connectivity to Sia-Mehri. Pathania directed the PDD authorities to check unscheduled power cuts and erratic supply. He also announced setting up of half-a- dozen Electric sub-stations in Basantgarh area and development of Higher Secondary School Basantgarh on “Model-School” lines. He further announced electricity, computers and boundary-wall for High School, Pachound. He directed CAPD Department to ensure that sign boards displaying number of souls, Stock position, rate list and electronic weighing machine are installed in every fair price shop of the area. He also announced that all the PWD and PMGSY roads will be black topped and macadamized and assured that he will take up the matter of providing SRTC Bus-service from Jammu to Basantgarh and Dudu areas.
