BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma (C.A) alongwith State Secretary Sanjay Baru and District President Jammu West Ayodhya Gupta, further stepped up the activities under ‘Azaadi 70’ programmes by leading the party activists of Talab Tillo Mandal in a ‘Prabhat Pherri’. It was organized by Mandal President Jeet Angral. The party activists were carrying national flags and raising slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai while they took up from Bohri and culminated at NITCO Lane.
Sat Sharma, on this occasion, said that the nation has travelled 69 years of Independence and this month we are going to celebrate the 70th Independence Day. The party has chalked out a number of programmes which will involve the party activists at all the levels. Like other parts of the country, the state unit of BJP to started the 15 days celebrations on August 9 and different events will be organized till August 23 to make the people aware of the long history of sacrifices and the role of the patriotic people in strengthening the bonds of unity and brotherhood. He asked the party activists to utilize the days of fortnight programmes to induce patriotic feelings among the people and educate them about the need of unity to defeat the forces which are posing threat to the social fabric and integrity of the country.
Sanjay Baru, while speaking about the programmes to be organized in coming days, said that it will be for the first time in the history of post independent India that a political party as well as its government at the Centre has decided to organize different events to highlight the supreme sacrifices of the great Indians whose contribution in fighting the British rule has been splendid. He said that the 70th Independence Day will see a new ray of development and prosperity as PM Narendra Modi is taking the nation to new heights in all the matters, which is indeed a major achievement for the country.
