Vibodh Appeals to Government to Ensure that ShriAmarnathJi Remains Uninterrupted
Today various prominent citizens of Thanamandi along with senior BJP leaders of the area led by Gani Shawl organized an impressive Eid Milan function at Thanamandi. On this occasion BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta was the chief guest. Addressing the gathering Vibodh congratulated every one and said that the festival of Eid prepares us on how be more disciplined and patient in our daily lives. He said that after the holy month of Ramzan the festival of Eid is a wonderful occasion to renew our commitment towards maintaining peace and harmony and helps us to make sacrifices for the happiness and welfare of poor and needy. He further added that Rajouri and Poonch have always remain a icon of communal harmony in the state. This he said is the only reason that the destructive forces like Huriyat near succeeded in their mission in this region. He said that the Hindus and Muslims have always celebrated their religious function together and never allowed Huriyat and other militant forces to implement their agenda to disturb the peace and Harmony of this region. He appreciated the locals of Thannamandi in their efforts towards maintaining the peace and brotherhood in the region. He informed the gathering that during the recently concluded month long assembly session in Kashmir he raised many issues related to the welfare and development of Thanamandi, specially the bad condition of road which links Thanamandi with Rajouri. Referring to yesterday’s barbaric terrorist attack in France which killed many innocent people, Vibodh said that in the present era Terrorism has became a major threat to humanity. He said that present time is the high time when people from every nook and corner of the world should raise to the occasion and speak in one voice against such terrorists and their unholy acts.
Addressing the gathering Gani Shawl thanked MLC Vibodh for participating in the Eid Milan function and urged everyone to use such occasions to strengthen peace and brotherhood in the area. He said that such festivals have always helped in strengthening bonds between various communities living in the area. Many other locals also spoke on the occasion and raised various issues related to the development of Thanamandi. Prominent among others who were present on the occasion included Rajinder Gupta, Atam Gupta, DarbarChoudhary, AshwaniKochar, Zahid Ahmed, Amjad Khan, Ranjeet Tara, Haji Ashraf and Sanjay Sharma. Officials of police and civil administration including, SDPO Thanamandi, SDM Thanamandi, Tehsildar and SHO Thanamandi also participated in the function.
