With a mission of providing major relief to the residents of Jammu West and Jammu East in the scorching summers, BJP State President and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) along with MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta started service of two additional water tankers which have been presented by the elected representatives through Additional Capex Budget of MLA’s. Officials of PHE(Mechanical), local residents and political activists were also present on the occasion when the service was started by the BJP leaders.
In the process, Sat Sharma has contributed an amount of Rupees 16 lakhs approx. on same for which he has provided one water tanker and Rajesh has contributed an amount of Rupees 16 lakhs approx. for which he has provided one water tanker to the department for public use.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the temperature is increasing day by day in these scorching summers and due to rise in temperature there are many areas in Jammu which have been affected with water supply and so in order to overcome this problem, this initiative had to be taken up so that best possible relief could be provided to the residents of Jammu and these tankers will definitely help in overcoming the problem and will provide basic amenity of water to the residents at their doorsteps. He also appreciated the efforts of Mechanical department of PHE for providing water supply in those areas where there is a great shortage of water. Sharma also announced for providing an additional water tanker within days.
Rajesh Gupta said that people have elected us and it becomes our moral responsibility to provide every type of basic service to the masses and providing tankers is a noble initiative in this cause which will surely prove itself to be a massive thing in providing essential service like water to the residents of Jammu. He also stated that present coalition Government in state is committed to provide basic services to the masses.
